Is it possible to become a millionaire by investing into green energy and biotechnology stocks? I'm 17 now, and after the global recession there is said to be a massive green energy and biotechnology boom which is supposed to be creating several multibillionaires and billionaires, and many, many multimillionaires and many, many, many millionaires. I should have saved up £25,000 made on eBay by then. Is it possible that I could use this money to invest into stocks in these sectors and at least become a millionaire?

How to investing in so-called green energy? There's a contest at my work to be green. One gets points for reducing one's carbon footprint. One of the things I can do to get points is switch to "green" energy producers. The way it works is you pay a little extra money in your electric bill and the green program promises to produce the amount of electricity you used and put it on the grid. The reason why the cost is higher is that the infrastructure of green energy is still being built, so eventually the cost of green electricity should be competitve. I'm hesitant because it just sounds like a donation that isn't tax deductable or an investment that isn't going to have any returns. It's not as if the people putting these windmills up are non-profit, they are making money, so if I put the front money, I should be a shareholder in their company. I would like to know if there is a way to invest in green energy producers the way you would invest in any new business venture, because at least I would that way get a little return on my investment of helping to put up the wind mills or solar panels instead of just paying more to put them up so I can have the pleasure of buying green electricity from the people who I gave money to start their business.

Why do people think nothing is being done in the USA to grduce green house gasses? Reducing green house gasses is a multibillion dollar business in the USA. From government subsidizes to power corporations to build more wind towers, to venture capitalist investing billions into new technology, to corporations upgrading old equipment to newer technology that reduces power consumption while making a better and more consistent product, the USA is taking the lead in reducing co2 emissions. The effects are evident. Not long ago, the USA dropped off the list of top polluters. Now China is the leader of green house gas production. This was done from using new technology that was developed over the years. So why do people insist that the USA is "doing nothing" to reduce ghg's? Is it because we as Americans put more faith in individuals to take action while true believers demand that the government use it's full force to make people do what they think is best?

Green Card/ Visa for New Business/investment In USA, anyone know the reqiuirements? Hi I know there is a Green card / Visa for opening/investing in a new Business in America that foreigners can get. I knew these requirements from 7 years ago and It used to be something like this, have $50k in a US bank account untouched for several months that is specifically to open the business with and you must have already obtained or leased business premises. The business must turn over several million dollars within 5 years to get a full residency status. I knew of a Canadian who opened up a company growing palm trees in Arizona who did it this way. Anyone who knows the process please let me know. Thanks

What are the differences between Green Wing Macaws and Blue & Gold Macaws? I'm trying to decide between one of the two as a pet for my fiance and I. We will most likely have a cat and a dog in the lifetime of the bird, and kids. I love the affectionate dispositions of both, and the striking color of the blue & gold. I'd love to teach it to talk and would invest a lot of time training, but it isn't a priority; the priority is having a loving companion for the majority of the rest of our lives. I plan on spending at least 3 hours daily with the bird to play and train. I'm incredibly fond of uniqueness and intelligence (I adopted a border collie because they were said to be the smartest dogs and have had great success training with him). So, I'd like to know some of the tendencies of both macaws, and which one I'd prefer for which reasons. Thanks a lot!
