- I'm a stock trader more than investor..... If that's of interest to you.... check out these books; Trading In The Zone, Mark Douglas Mastering The Trade, John Carter High Probability Trading, Link BTW: Barnaby J has suggested some great books for investors.
- You can look at this good website for getting excellent books on investing :
- Invest Like a Shark Reminiscense of a stock operator. The Disciplined Trader
- Wow! Somebody who is actually willing to sit down and read a few books! You have already shown yourself smarter than the average beginner. Most want a quick online tutorial and then open their account and start losing money. Many of the books already mentioned are good. If you wanted to learn to be a doctor, there is merit to looking over the shoulder of successful doctors and seeing how they do it. The same is true with stock. Following this logic, I suggest two books by Michael Covel: "Trend Following" and "The Complete Turtle Trader". There are also two books by Schwager: "Market Wizards" and "New Market Wizards". Add Burton's "Hedge Hunters"
