- These are the recommended books -by the folkis who we bought the software from: "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. This book has been around A LONG, LONG time! You can get this in paperback. Nothing to do with trading, but its a goo fou8ndation gor getting the right mindset. "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Another book with no info about trading, but it has something to do with investing and thinking philosophies. "Tools and Tactics of th Master Day Trader" by Velez and Capra. About $65 U.S. Hard-bacl opnly. I tried getting this at my local library system - without success. I went to an independent bookstore and ordered it. This was not a very easy book to read. This is probably due to the fact I had no trading experience. I not only read this book, I marked the living daylights out of it AND I took those marked notes and typed every one of my notes and highlighted paragraphs and typed them into the computer. I did this because I KNEW I was going to refer to it often for various refereshers - and I have. In my opinion, when this is done, it makes it a LOT easier and faster to fid what it is I'm looking for. As a matter of fact, I did this with every book I read in the past 15 years. Any of the books by Mark Douglas, Guy Cohen and a few other authors [whose names escape me at the moment.] As a matter of fact those books are at one of my 3 brothers' homes. I just haven't had the opportunity to get them. We subscribed to and STILL get IBD - Investors Busioness Daily. We subscribed [and cancelled] "Barron's". You might want to go to Barnes and Noble and ask for a printout of trading books. BTW, NOT ONE OF THE BOOKS I read has anything representing rules for any trading strategy. The rules are left entirely to the person wanting to trade. Here's what I did: For each strategy I was interested in, I sat down and authored my own trading rules. It requires "tweaking" and adjusting, but it makes sense to me - especially the way I do my researching. Due to the fact I discover new and different subtleties with each strategy, each strategy is ALWAYS a "work in progress" VTY, Ron.
