If I invest money in nationalize bank like fix deposit, can I get any refund in income tax?

1. No. There is no rebate for interest earned on bank fixed deposits. In fact, the interest attracts tax.

5. If you deposit money in Nationalised Bank in Fixed deposit of 5 years or more, then you will get a rebate under Sec 80C within the overall limit of Rs 1.00 lac. This way you can save tax.
