I want to know different investing options?

I am a student in India and new to this investments. I want to know various options where I can invest which includes share market, mutual funds, etc. Please give me the information also please provide me with any other options. I want to know in detail, what is demat account, PAN, etc and is there any site where I can find some good guidelines if possible golden rules for investment. and I can invest 20,000 rs at a time now and about 2,000 every month Thanks please provide me with any website please provide me with good information

1. What i can tell u is DEMAT ACCOUNT. In this,physical shares(like document) can be converted into electronic form(like our savings a/c in banks)
