  1. If I were you I would not invest in anything in US nor would I ever open a bank account in US. Because one day they will cease your business and your bank account and you will end up in a poor house. You do not need to have US citizenship in order to buy a real estate there. Why don't you invest in Sweden, Ireland, Switzerland. Why US,,,?
  2. Anybody who can legally reside in the US can buy a house, you don't need to be a US citizen. To receive a green card through investment or employment is not easy unless you are willing to invest like a million dollars or you have an outstanding skill that is needed in the US. I'm not sure this is the best time for investments in this recession.
  3. You can come over on a Tourist Visa or on the Visa Waiver Program and buy all the property you can afford. Now's a good time to do it too. Owning property will not assist you in getting a green card. Your best bet as an investor is an E-2 visa. To get this you must invest a "substantial" amount in a business that employs at least 10 American citizens, full time.
  4. "Hard" is a relative factor, however it is certainly not easy. The majority of people with a green card got it one of these ways: eligible family sponsor, employment-based, amnesty (IRCA of 1986 law)... beyond that, there are other ways, but you have to be special or be able to do something particularly special to get over here. To purchase a house, you do not have to be a citizen or a green card holder.
  5. Have you heard of the lottery system for green card. You can obtain a green card through a lottery. Visit http://tinyurl.com/usagcls for more info
