What are some good penny stocks to invest in now, for a young new investor? Thank you!

1. I'd stay away from penny stocks. If you commit to a long term growth mutual (no load) fund, in the long run, you will make a lot of money. Right now everything is taking a beating, but if you have extra money and want to invest,and you're young, then do it now.
2. Just about all penny stocks are the same as gambling. You would be better to buy one share of stock. Even better than that if you are thinking long term would be to buy a good mutual fund. My personal favorite is Oakmark Equity and Income. Since you are young, you could take greater risks with a fund such as Neuberger Genesis or Fidelity Adv. Small Cap.
3. This whole stock market thing should bottom out here after a while.... not sure when. But it will be a great time to buy - soon. Don't know what. Look for green companies who will be making solar collectors or water desalization machines or wind generators. They might be getting stimulus money. I sure HOPE that Obama will be true to his word and try to move this country along that path. Then investment in that green stuff should be great.

5. For the most part, I wouldn't recommend any penny stocks. They are highly risking and most people end up losing money. For someone young, I would recommend a diversified stock portfolio. 7. No such thing as a good penny stock. Might as well give your money to a charity. At least you'll have a good feeling & a tax deduction after all is said & done.
