My girlfriend has nice sum of money and asks me how to invest it? help?
My girlfriend just opened a touchy subject and recently asked me how she should invest her money.... My initial thought was oh no! but at the same time I am glad she is comfortable with asking me such a question, and I dont want to lead her astray or give her bad advice. She is in her mid twenties and has lived at home. She has about 25-35K saved up. Should she buy a house? go on her own and rent an apartment? Continue to save up? go to school? Suggestions? I know it probably looks bad asking here, but I really want to give her some worthwhile advice.

- I would prefer investing in some authentic people like google try that http://easymoney.friendsmela.com/google.html i think its the biggest company creating biggest profit now days.
- Diversify your investments Stocks X- US Steel(strong buy because raw materials are at the heart of economic recovery) F- Ford(The only member of the Big Three that I believe will survive+I believe the company is currently undervalued) JPM- JP Morgan Chase(A strong and healthy bank) BP- British Petroleum(I like all oil companies but they have the best dividend yield) Fixed Income CDs (it is going to be hard to find some good rates today, but GMAC http://www.gmacbank.com/index.html?pdcmp... offers some decent ones) Currencies FXA (ETF for Australian dollar i really like the Australian dollar because Australia is rich in natural resources) buy this bellow 65 a share Municipal Bonds (don't got any to recommend but talk to your broker) Junk/high yield bonds (always nice cause the yield is high but you have to be careful research into the companies balance sheets to make sure they can meet their obligations- to avoid this risk buy HYG (ETF for high yield bonds)) Have a strong equity bias because equity tends to go up in the long run. However don't go all in at once. Make your investments gradual to reduce time risk.
- Rent, for the housing bottom is a long way away. Get out of the fiat Dollar as best and much as you can and get it into real assets that can hold its value during a dollar collapse which will happen. BUY gold, silver, agriculture (grow it, or buy stuff needed to grow), guns, ammo, food, water and anything you can think of that has value and longterm value so that you can use it when you need it and of course you can trade it for other assets The truth on the dollar, is that is backed by nothing but debt and has no real value to it. The government has lied to us on so many occasions for so long and they are trying their best to hold this lie, but it can not happen, because the Mayan Calendar will not let it. The Mayans predicted everything up until now and there is no reason to think they will be wrong here, when they have a 100% track record at this moment and they called for this collapse. You are planning for 3-5 years away, but that is so long when you consider how many cycles are going to go through in the Mayan Calendar and the shift in Consciousness. The best advice I can give is prepare for the collapse of the currency, watch some truth videos to be educated on this collapse. I recommend youtube users endlessmountain, visionvictory and manoftruth along with ZEITGEIST Addendum and ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT. Peace, Love and Understanding :)
- First- Tell her to to put a sufficient amount of that money into a savings account for an emergency fund. About 3 months of daily living is usually the formula for this. This allows her to always have backup cash that is liquid and usable. Second- Right now we are in a very turbulent market. Usually I would reccomend a mix of very low risk investments and some stocks, but I would be cautious right now and tell her to hold on to more of her cash than normal. Buying a house would make sense only if she has an incredibly stable job and knows that she could afford to put down a 20% down payment and still be able to make her payments on the mortgage. An IRA might make some sense, but in reality right now, I would probably try and find a C.D. with a decent rate to beat inflation and let the market cool down a bit as everything in this market right now is a risk.
