Why is it imtportant to invest money into building and maintaining bridges?

1. You dont want them collapsing do you? Everything will break eventually....
2. you should be able to answer this. Just think of what would happen if we didn't. .
3. The reason for building bridges is to improve mobility. The ability to move goods, services, and general travel are tied to the economy. As for maintenance, if a bridge goes out, there is potential for catastrophic loss. Bridges take a long time to replace and are expensive to rebuild. Loss of a bridge for any length of time reduces mobility.
