What are the best books about investing and stocks?
Public Comments
- I would suggest the Boglehead's guide to investing. John Bogle was the originator of the index funds and the founder of the Vanguard Group. The book is written by people who follow his investment philosophy. It is written in an easy to understand manner and will give you a good idea about how to go about investing.
- I have always enjoyed Peter Lynch's book, One up on Wall street.
- By the time you read a book written years ago, some of the information is outdated as far as today's economy goes. Before rushing into anything, take time to read current financial journals, and watch financial shows. You will get what you need from these.
- I had ones years ago written by the people at the Wall Street Journal. Otherwise, I would look for something simplified to start with. There is a lot to learn about.
- Guide To The Markets Written by the editorial staff of Investor's Business Daily When The Market Moves Will You Be Ready? Written by Peter Navarro How To Buy Stocks Written by Louis Engel and Henry R. Hecht All About Exchange Traded Funds Written by Archie Richards, Jr.
- Try the Motley Fool. They make it fun to read their books.
- For beginners try: "The Dummies Guide to Investing" by Eric Tyson or "How A Second Grader Beats Wall Street: Golden Rules Any Investor Can Learn" by Allan Roth.
