  1. you sound like a spoiled brat
  2. Its a bad time to invest in the stock market. Leave it in the bank and get some interest on your money. 3-4 thousand might not seem much but if you let it build up it will add up.
  3. Certificate deposits are the way to go! I have a few in different banks and am not touching them until i'm in my 30's. I will be puttying money in them though!
  4. I would recommend pokemon cards. Though this may seem a little unorthodox, the asian children who grew up in the pokemon epoch will be growing up into rich business men whom will be willing to pay large sums of money to relive childhood memories. Their future monotonous life will prove unfulfilling in the absence of pokemon, and so they will seek to attain spiritual fulfillment through them
  5. I invest money ,too.I study psychology,is something that I like, and this will bring me a lot of money.Look what job can bring you money, and study. In my country,to cut hear is 40 euro, and to go to doctor is 50 euro.I think that the better investment is to study.
  6. Well he is true.. Uhm I would have either your parents make a account and go through them, other wise at 17 you wont be able to do much, other than a bank
  7. I am investing in mutual funds and corporate bonds . You can open an account with an online company such as Etrade or you can visit a local investment firm in your area such as Edward Jones . I always remember to buy when everyone wants to sell , and sell when people want to buy .
  8. Invest in what you know. A few years back when I was in my early teens I spent $1000 on various musical instruments that I found for good deals. I purchased four rather cheap guitars, because I figured they'd be easier to sell. Ended up coming back with a total of $1350 in one month. That's not too bad if you ask me. And I don't think the market is still there, but the pokemon idea makes sense. With the $350 profit, I bought Yu Gi Oh card decks and re-selled the "good" cards for around $20 each to kids that were really into collecting them or playing the game. I was left with a on of unsold cards, but it didn't matter because even though I sold maybe 1/4th of them, those allowed me to make back everything I spent and see $75 in profit. Bear in mind, this was when "cards" were big. Bringing my total to about $1425 for two months worth of work on an initial $1000 investment.
