Do you find it to be a conflict of interest for people who are invested in "green" companies to push through?
legislation that will positively effect the very companies that they are invested in?

- and this surprise one how??? Does one think this is a new government practice or is one just starting to pay attention?? This BS has been going on for years.
- ......If you say so...!
- A little bit, yup... kind of like how Enron helped write the federal energy deregulation bill under W. Bush... kind of like how Citigroup helped write the Gramm-Leech-Blighly Act? Yeah, just like all of that. The question is, which one has the worst outcome of the 3?
- Yes. That's all democracy and politics is. Helping yourself at the expense of everyone else. It's always "the few plunder the many", or "the many plunder the few."
- Heelllloooooo! Al Gore runs a multi-BILLION dollar company that invests in green tech stocks! NOT in green technology- but the stocks! That is his sole impetus for pushing this whole movement! He is going to profit, period! Anyone who thinks the fabled "global warming" is about the environment is sadly mistaken! As is always said- FOLLOW THE MONEY!
- Yes, very much so. Where are all the people who complained about Halliburton, Brown and Root, and others? I believe the "green" companies - including GE, parent of NBC and MSNBC - are far more involved in the process than the "war merchants" were involved in the Iraq vote. Someone should do a study, and compare lobbying efforts!
- Welcome to the democrat majority. I suggest you get used to it. It's going to be a long couple of years.
