Teenager interested in investing in stocks?
Hi, I'm 17 but I have a real interest in the business world and aspire to become apart of it after I attend university. However, I feel like I am not getting involved enough so I wish to start participating in investing. The problem is, I don't know much about getting started and need a little information. I'll probably be doing this on the Toronto stock exchange. Do I have to be of certain age to invest my money? Is their a minimum amount of money that you are required to invest? Are their any good sites that teach younger people about the basics of investing and how to get involved? Thanks again. I plan to make investing a hobby of mine, however I don't have much money. Only about 175$. Well I am attracted to investing because to me it seems like a game in which the rewards are great if you play well. I also look forward to checking my stocks all the time to see if they rise or fall. All in all, it can also be a great educational experience for me.

- it is good to start young. time is on your side! $175 is not alot, but you can invest with that much. with the help of your parents they can put your money in an account for you. you can pick where to put it but i do not believe you can invest it under your name. I would look into VFINX which is a safe place to put your money one of the most popular and trusted places to put it, and also takes verry little investment. cheers and happy investing.
