  1. Try investopedia.com. It has great tutorials and an abundance of information. Good luck.
  2. My uncle advised my parents not to go into internet banking years ago. He pretty much compared it to the German peasant moving into the big city. Even if you did, there aren't a lot of good Mac accounting programs out there.
  3. For an online resource to Terminology, I would use investopedia. They suck when it comes to economic and market concepts, and some of their examples are off...but they have a lot of useful information. For books, I believe Cramer's books are sound and insightful. I started reading them and was over-joyed at how he broke everything down into a very sleek, common-sense approach. His books are about teaching so the layman can understand, rather than pitching his show or style. I sincerely appreciated the honesty and integrity of that approach, which is why I encourage people to read them (i would start with the most recent book, as it is obviously the most current). The path to learning will also include more than just reading a book and checking terms on a website. I would encourage you to watch CNBC in the morning. You need to know what is going on in the market and business world. At first, some of it is going to be over your head. Don't let that keep you from learning. If you have concepts or terms that through you for a loop, write them down (or memorize them); look it up on investopedia or post a question on Yahoo! Answers. I would also encourage reading CNBC online and Bloomberg online. There is a wealth of information out there, and there are tons of people that WANT to help you. Take advantage of all of it. You will easily become a resource to others, and will remember (as I do) what it was like starting out and how important it is to get information from people you need to trust. Good Luck! Hope this helped.
  4. As far as books. The 'Idiots guide' books are good--for the basics.
