how old do u have to be to invest money in a stock or buy a stock ??

1. You have to be 18 but you can have an adult sign on your account with you & then you can actually do the trading. Good luck.
2. You're probably going to have to be at least 18 to sign a contract with the brokerage firm.
3. A stock is a legal contract so even if you buy your stock directly from the company (you can actually do this and avoid the broker but only for certain companies) it's not legal for you to enter into any contract until you are 18.
4. You will have to be 18 years of age to invest in a stock. However, I would suggest to take the time you have now (if you don't already) to study the stock market. Read the Wall Street Journal religiously. Study the business to become an expert in the field by the time you are ready to invest. Best of luck to you!
