I want to learn how to invest for retirement. What course, book (s) should I read or take to protect my money.
Where is the best way to learn how to invest as well as a down market? Having a 4% on my money is not good and feel I could be making much better. I had an appointment to see a financial advisor this morning. However, I did some internet research and found a bad article on this company that is just 2 yr old. They did not pay their bills and had to file bankruptcy. I also found it was annuities. I don't know a thing about annuities. So, I cancelled the appointment. I figured this was a big red flag. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
