- These are incredibly easy to care for!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Cloud_Mountain_minnow "White Cloud Mountain minnows are considered good fish for beginners, as they are extremely forgiving with regard to aquarium temperature or water quality, and make an ideal "starter fish" for cycling a new aquarium. They are schooling fish, and feel most comfortable in a shoal of at least five minnows. An individual one of these minnows kept alone may become timid and lose its bright color. Generally, White Cloud Mountain Minnows are peaceful and happy to coexist with other fish, as long as they are not put in a tank with larger fish that may eat them. The minnows are usually top or middle-level swimmers and rarely swim close to the bottom of a tank. Healthy Mountain Minnows will display to each other While normal temperature range of the species in the wild is 18–26 °C (64–72 °F), it can survive water temperatures down to 5°C (41°F); this makes it an ideal fish for keeping in an unheated aquarium in cold climates." I just use TetraMin Tropical Crisps for food. Self siphoning gavel vacuum and glass & acrylic safe scrubbing sponge for cleaning.
- a betta,duhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
- First of all, u need a heater set to about 80 degrees and u need a fish tank with a filter and light. U also need gravel too. Then, u need to add a little bit of Freshwater Salt according to the directions on the box. Then, add the water conditioner. Then, u can get some tropical fish including: Guppies Platy Mollie Clear Glass Fish Swordtail Fish U can get a starter fish tank at Walmart.
- ok here's the thing. for a newbie try cichlids, people are going uhhhhhhhhhhhh? well they are hardy, seldom dies from ich and eats anything. tetras, barbs and live bearers are prone to ich..
- I think a neon tetra, angel-fish,or some glo-light tetras would be good. Don't get triked by expensive fish like puffer fish or clown fish.
- Before you pick fish reshearch on what it takes to keep them! Here is good http://www.fishforums.net/. Also if u want plants here http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/. U will need a filter, heater , light and obviously the tank, and other accessories. As for easy fish, smaller barbs, livebearers, and especially danios are excellent for a begginer, just provide enough space, no more than one inch per gallon. As for exotic fish, u should get a little more experience before going truly exotic. Just go to your fish store, see which one u like and look them up. Also look up fishless cycling, a thing u do for about 2 weeks BEFORE fish are added to ensure healthy fish not being poisened by their own waste. Cleaning tools can be as simple as a simple gravel vac and appropirate size bucket for water changing, a bout 25% a week. For food, variety is best though pick a higher quality brand, Omega One and New Life Spectrum are good Good Luck!
- try an oscar they are kinda messy but not hard to take care of i have 3 and they have fun personalities but they are pretty messy and they eat alot... but if anything bad happens to them they almost always live one time it flopped out of the tank and it lived for four hours and was perfectly healthy the next day. the one thing i dont like about them is that they need alot of room because they get pretty big.
- Platy is a good fish to start with. There are many variations so you can have all kinds of colors which is nice. Zebra fish are nice too. I've had these two kinds of fish (along with others) since we set up the aquarium. They don't seem to get Ick or other diseases. And they don't seem to be picky about their water. The pet store that I went to had me add a little bit of aquarium salt to the water.
- gourami's are easy and relatively cheap
- I used to breed guppies. These fish are fun because they are very easy to care for. Just make sure the water in their tank is about 70 degrees F all the time. I only had two small tanks, so I earned money selling guppies to the pet store when they were a couple months old. I got $0.90 per female and $1.25 for the males.
- Yellow tang are colorfully and easy to take care.....Good luck
