Where is the best place to start investing for a beginner?
I know very little about the stock market and investing. But I would like to know where the best place to start investing would be with, at the most, 1k. Of course I don't want to dive head first into anything without actually knowing what I'm doing....but I mainly want to get a feel for what my best options are out there. I don't want to set any goals that are too unrealistic.

- Invest in yourself. Markets are very uncertain right now, so it is a good time to be reading books and studying web sites and learning about investing, stocks, business, etc.
